BP — United States Convenience Operations Intranet
Challenge
The United States Convenience Operations (USCO) division of BP needed a central location where they could communicate and share critical information with managers and employees located in multiple offices in the US and abroad.
Solution
The Web Department built a dynamic, database-driven content managed intranet that enabled multiple content owners to make, manage and schedule Website updates using The Web Department's custom developed content management system. In addition, the Website is home to a state-of-the-art online travel request booking system, gift registry, resource library (document collaboration system), which is integrated into the BP Active Directory network, users polls, calendars, asset management and much more.

Result
Across the very distributed global team, managers and employees now have access to consistent materials, information and powerful online tools which help streamline operations.

After its initial launch, The Web Department was requests to build several additional features including a full-featured newsletter builder, newsletter broadcast application, custom page builder, further streamlining the business unit's processes.

In 2007 United States Convenience Operations changed names to Convenience Retail Americas (CRA).
