BP — United States Convenience Operations Intranet
Challenge
The United States Convenience Operations (USCO) division of BP needed a central location where they could communicate and share critical information with managers and employees.
Solution
The Web Department built a dynamic, database-driven content managed intranet that enabled multiple content owners to make, manage and schedule Website updates using The Web Department's custom developed content management system (CMS). In addition, the Website is home to a state-of-the-art online travel request booking system, gift registry, resource library (document collaboration system), which is integrated into the BP Active Directory network, users polls, calendars, asset management, and much more.

Result
Across the very distributed global team, managers and employees now have access to consistent materials, information and powerful online tools which help streamline operations.

Over the years additional features have been added to the intranet, including a full-featured newsletter builder and broadcast application, a custom page builder application that allows USCO managers to create HTML Webpages on the site from scratch, and a custom blog application for communicating with the internal team.

In 2007 United States Convenience Operations formerly changed to Convenience Retail Americas (CRA).
